La Mancha is very pleased to welcome back Debranne Pattillo, owner of Equinology for another Painted Horse Demonstration. This new presentation is based on the feedback we received last year when we introduced a Pain Point Chart (see below) as part of the presentation.
“Pain Points in the Ridden Horse: Where,Why & The Bodywork, In-Hand & Riding Training Ways to Eliminate Them” is a four hour educational featuring Debranne, Training for Wellness™ trainer Manolo Mendez and Acupuncturist & Veterinarian Dr.Fiona Mead.
This is an educational, practical event where participants will get an understanding of:
– Where common pain points are located.
– Why horses develop these common pain points
– How to assess horses for pain points
– How to use different bodywork, acupressure, stretching, fascia mobilization techniques to improve horses wellbeing and performance
– How to use posture and movement in-hand and under saddle to help horses wellbeing and performance and to avoid, alleviate or eliminate pain points.
Debranne will paint muscles of locomotion, balance and collection and associated bony landmarks as well as “skeletal and muscular “pain points” associated with poor posture and movement.
Debranne, Manolo and Dr. Mead will work alone and together in presenting their techniques.
Manolo will work with the Painted Horse as well as will additional horses to demonstrate healthy posture and movement and simple riding techniques to promote both.
Participants will receive a pdf document with some simple take home boywork suggestions from Equinology.
Note: This is not a full skeletal painted horse as these take four hours to complete.
The goal of the evening is to offer an educational, interactive opportunity to all those participating in a friendly, supportive environment.
Space is limited so book early.
This is free for the Equinology Owners and Trainers course attendees – PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE A TICKET IF YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR THE COURSE.
